On this year's International Women's Day, I want to acknowledge one of my heroes - the great Dona Gracia Naci. I've written extensively in the past about my admiration for this 16th-century Sephardic woman who used her great wealth to save many fleeing Jews from the Spanish Inquisition. And now I want to share a song I wrote for her! "Gracia" is the title track of my 2012 album of the same name- an entire project I recorded inspired by the woman. This song in particular thanks Gracia and the countless other women who have done such important work to preserve our culture. I hope you'll agree that they deserve their due credit.
